Fruition Strawberry Farm

Attention students: work outside and have FUN this summer!


Fruition Berry Farm IS NOW LOOKING FOR FRUIT PICKERS and GENERAL HELP FOR SUMMER 2010.

Fruition Berry Farm is located 5 km's north of the 401 on Hughes Road,
just off highway 15.

We grow 20 acres of strawberries and 10 acres of raspberries which are picked daily in season. We expect to have 15+students working with us this season for periods of 3 to 12 weeks. Work will commence in June weather permitting. (some after school and week-end work will be required before school is finished).

WHAT THE WORK INVOLVES:
Picking strawberries/raspberries is the main job at Fruition Berry Farm, employees are also required to check fruit for quality and general packing. Other work includes cutting strawberry blossoms and training strawberry runners, weeding, general clean up and assisting customers. Pickers are paid on a piece work basis for strawberry picking (for the quantity of fruit picked per day) All other work will be paid on an hourly basis. Mature applicants that posses a valid drivers license will be considered for the position of driving the tractor and wagons. We are also looking for 1 or 2 mature people to staff the booth area, handle cash, supervise our pickers and customers. No experience necessary!

TRANSPORTATION
All employees will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the farm.
