Wheat time!

I love the look of the golden wheat and the symmetry of the rows of straw and the round bales left behind. All of the wheat is trucked away and sold. The bales of straw will be used to cover our strawberries this winter!

Baling the wheat straw.

Big round bales freshly churned out and, if you look closely, the combine kicking up some dust and working hard in the background.

A orderly person’s dream. One pass of the combine collects the wheat and leaves a neat row of straw ready for baling.

Golden heads of wheat ready for harvesting.

A golden field against a blue sky and the green of the trees in the background. Such a pretty sight!

Blue skies and golden wheat!
